Lamborghini Reventon

I believe the Lamborghini Reventon is the best invention they have thus far, and its look is the most modern, most exotic, and the most attractive among all of Lambo’s performance sports cars.

But it’s also expensive. So I’ll just stick with the diecast version.

Photoshop Brush Creation

Just a short mention that if you are interested in creating a brush for Photoshop, remember to make it less than 2500 x 2500. That’s the new standard. Aside from that, making brush is pretty easy.

Make your brush on your canvas however you want it
Go to Edit -> Define brush Preset
Give a name, export, whatever. You are done with your single brush, or you can continue to make your brush set.

Fairly simple. And as a bonus, I realized recently that a lot of users submitted their brushes to deviantart, making it one of the best places to find Photoshop brushes.

CSS Fun

As a sequel to adding a menu to the new photo album, I realized today that the implementation doesn’t bode well with smaller screen. As in, if the whole page from left to right cannot be displayed altogether, the menu itself is essentially hidden from the user.

Not good.

So to fix the problem, I have to re-arrange and “re-style” the menu so it actually looks like a part of the design. But talking is easy, and not being a pro, arranging and playing with CSS tags takes quite some trial and error to figure out what each tag does, along with its perks and drawbacks. Just like learning any other programming language, it’ll take some practice to get used to, but having programming background, it does seem like the effort is not wasted. As a result, the menu is now drop-down style, and is accessible from every page. Even better, it looks like it’s a part of the whole site design.

I am giving myself a pat on the shoulder.

Garden Design

ApartmentTherapy has been a site that inspired me a lot with both indoor and outdoor design. Since I don’t have my own place yet, I can’t really attempt to implement a lot of the cool ideas, but it’s never too early to start the research, is it?

And being an advocate for the use of vertical space (since I have always lived in a small space that lacks storage space…time to get rid of things!), a vertical planter is just something that is both charming in design and practical for small plants.

Now I just need the capital, time, and space.

Blender

I am learning Blender, a free 3D modeling tool, because I want to get into the world of 3D modeling.

Why?

Because I want to create Violette from Velvet Assassin in Fallout 3.

So far I have only found the female officer uniform (look-alike), but have yet to find other accessories including the hat, the boots, or the Luger P08. I can either request experienced modder to create these items, or I can create them myself.

I am going with the later.

Note: Since I am talking about 3D modeling here, it’s quite fitting to mention Thomas Suurland. I stumbled upon his website a while back, and was since awed by his modeling skills.
