  How would you like to be a part of biggest hacker convention while enjoying the luxurious hotels and the entertainment that of Las Vegas, all at the same time? Not being an advertiser for Defcon, but my past experience of Defcon was so much fun that I wish to come back again and again, year after year, to learn about the latest trend in technology and security, while visiting one of the most fun-filled city in America. I highly recommend this convention.

  I don't care what OS you use, as long as you use a computer, get an AV and a firewall installed. Some on the list: Windows - Comodo Internet Security (AV & Firewall) Mac - ClamXav (AV) & Mac Built-in Application Firewall (Firewall) Linux & BSD variants - AVG for Linux or ClamAV (AV) & Firestarter (Firewall) Now, go get an AV and firewall if you don't already have them running on your computer. Oh, and if you use a phone or PocketPC, blackberry and those mobile platforms, find similar protection software for them too. Yeah, I am serious.

  As I was setting up WordPress for my Chinese blog, I found out it was having the same issue as before. After trying the fix mentioned, nothing changed. What could have been the problem? After examining the error, I found that an error coming from the security scan plugin for WordPress. And guess what? After disabling that plugin, dashboard works again. So I guess WP Security Scan doesn't work too well with Chinese. Oh well, at least I made sure the site was set up according to WPSS's recommendations.

  Considering how widely Flash is used, its general users are probably not tech-savvy. Nothing too special about that part, except that Flash is so insecure. Reading through all the security posts, Flash and PDF are being exploited by a long shot right now, and guess what? Even though they push out updates and flash player does support automatic update, it is NOT BY DEFAULT! Or is that just me?
