Salt

In line with my sugar post, too much salt in one’s diet is also a bad thing.

Why?

You can find all the answers through Google, but for me, it’s more about the damage it can do to my kidneys and essentially raise my blood pressure. So while salt is essential to a healthy life, too much of it can cause the opposite if one is not careful about his diet. But easier said than done, a lot of food out there contains high sodium, especially canned food and processed food.

So yeah, it’s difficult to live healthily in a country where food with high sodium or high sugar is displayed everywhere. Nonetheless, determination is the key.
