It’s good for temp storage and unlimited bandwidth. Bad for organization.
Why? For people who have used or are using it, they know picasa web album has a 1-level only file system. You get to create folders to separate pictures, but only on top level. You cannot create another folder under the top level folder, so it makes things a little nastier.
See, my problem is, I categorize my pictures there by events and subjects. Noting that many events are recurring, so I may go to the same event, many times. How can I organize pictures from these events cleanly and orderly on picasaweb? I can’t. Either I create separate albums for each month / year ‘s event, or I can throw all of them into one album, which will then consist of pictures from different times.
Messy.
But luckily, I am already looking forward to the release of Gallery 3.0. Pretty exciting, I think. But until its release, I’ll have to wait patiently……………….
