<p><a href="http://www.sakuragraffiti.com">Ken </a>invited me again to another swimsuit shoot he planned, and I happily obliged, this time with Bethany, Angie, and two new girls I met the day of, Simonne and Auna.</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8040 copy.jpg" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-right" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2318__x450_IMG_8040 copy.jpg" alt="IMG_8040 copy" title="IMG_8040 copy" />
</a>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_7971 copy.JPG" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2314__x450_IMG_7971 copy.JPG" alt="IMG_7971 copy" title="IMG_7971 copy" />
</a>

<p>It was suppose to rain, but luckily, the day ended up just cloudy. It wouldn&#8217;t have mattered to Ken, Bethany, Angie, or Simonne though, as they were all soaked from the fountain.</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8005 copy.JPG" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-center" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2315__650x_IMG_8005 copy.JPG" alt="IMG_8005 copy" title="IMG_8005 copy" />
</a>

<p>The girls were all troopers. Angie and Bethany pretty much just dived into the fountain without looking back, kinda reminds me of those movie moves: walking away from explosions without looking back.</p>
<p>Pic: A perfect moment captured as Bethany changed her pose</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8033 copy.jpg" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-center" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2317__650x_IMG_8033 copy.jpg" alt="IMG_8033 copy" title="IMG_8033 copy" />
</a>

<p>Pic: Angie posing for me</p>

</a>

<p>Some of the resulting shots made me feel like I was shooting for some magazine, and the girls were professional models. They were that good!</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8043 copy.jpg" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-right" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2320__x450_IMG_8043 copy.jpg" alt="IMG_8043 copy" title="IMG_8043 copy" />

</a>

<p>As we concluded our shoot at the fountain, we moved into the Center House (Yes, we were at Seattle Center). Low light, not so good for my existing gears, but I still scored some good shots. To the right: Auna looking pretty</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8222 copy.jpg" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic ngg-right" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2323__x430_IMG_8222 copy.jpg" alt="IMG_8222 copy" title="IMG_8222 copy" />
</a>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8160 copy.jpg" title=""  >
	<img class="ngg-singlepic" src="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/cache/2322__x430_IMG_8160 copy.jpg" alt="IMG_8160 copy" title="IMG_8160 copy" />
</a>

<p>After hanging out at the Center House for a bit, we headed off to the other fountain area Ken mentioned. It was a busy day as many events were taking place, and Seattle Center was all packed with people and booths, so it was quite a relief to find that this second fountain Ken knew about had relatively fewer food traffic.</p>
<p>Pic: Auna and her graduation balloon loot</p>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8341 copy.jpg" title=""  >

</a>

<a href="http://silenceral.com/photoblog/wp-content/gallery/summer-heat-jun-10/IMG_8255 copy.jpg" title=""  >

</a>

<p>I have learned that Angie and Bethany were goofballs, and they always made the shoot hilariously fun. And I think the following pic can pretty much represent the fun we had that day. Don&#8217;t forget to hit the gallery too in case I add more pictures in the future.</p>

<p>The planned instrument shoot with Andrea and Simone happened several weeks back, and while I like many images from that shoot, I didn&#8217;t muster up the energy to process them until recently. Thanks to Andrea for this one.</p>
<p>I <a href="http://silenceral.deviantart.com/art/Sensation-163778899">briefly mentioned the processing and composition</a> of this image on my dA, but in addition, I also think this is one of those images that would benefit little from equipment upgrade, something that I kept griping about. Yes, image quality can always be better, and a little less DOF would be nice, but most importantly it&#8217;s about the composition.</p>
<p>I hope to visit this dock again for future shoots, it&#8217;s actually quite pretty, IMO.</p>

<p>Another photo that I really like from a shoot several weeks back, thanks to Simone for making this happen.</p>
<p>I am beginning to like the idea of setting up photoshoots, from inviting the right people, arranging the right props, to selecting the right location and go at the right time. Of course, a big chunk of it still lies on the picture-taking people&#8217;s ability to capture the moment, making sure other elements are near-perfect always helps the cause.</p>
<p>Additionally, it&#8217;d be nice to have a lens that produces less glare (along with all other goodies)</p>

<p>This is a poster my friend <a href="http://myrighteye.korv.us/">MyRightEye</a> and I made for the <a href="http://www.educause.edu/SecurityVideoContest2009">2009 EDUCAUSE poster contest</a>.</p>
<p>After a very long wait, we found out that we didn&#8217;t win. But by judging from winning posters, I think I know why. The overall feeling of this one is just too &#8220;dark&#8221;. The sinister look and the messy background (those are small portraits, in case you are wondering), doesn&#8217;t really fit in with the rest of the bright, clean posters. In another word, this one is kind of scary looking.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, we both like the design, that&#8217;s why we submitted it. Despite not winning, this piece is among my most favorite heavy-editing work.</p>
