I was invited by my friend Ken to shoot alongside him, and as I haven’t met Neidi, our swimsuit model, and I happened to have the time, I accepted the offer to go hang out at the Seattle Center.
Pic: Neidi, kinda cold after playing in the fountain?
Being a techie, I cannot help but talk about the technical side of the shoot, so just let me get it out of my system.
Ken originally was shooting for a more cloudy time to shoot as direct sunlight is always difficult, as hard light creates hard shadow, and often time exposure is harder to control, especially when the lighting condition is constantly changing (sun was coming in and out of the clouds). Sadly, the big cloud never migrated up north to provide a more even light for us, so both of us were trying to compensate for the light the whole time. We still got some great shots, though.
I attempted to use my little flash, which I was addicted to recently, but my tripod head broke off just before meeting up with the guys, so that setup was down the drain. But you know what? That forced me to shoot with pure natural light, which is a good exercise for me.
Pic: Tim and Tyler
Aside from Neidi, Ken, and I, Tim and Tyler tagged along for the shoot and I had the chance to meet these two funny guys. Supposedly I met Tim before, but apparently I suck at remembering people.
Pic: Neidi is really good at posing.
Since I am the second photog and trying not to get into Ken’s way, I didn’t take as many pictures. Still, many nice shots.
Pic: pretty purple highlighted hair + blue jacket & jeans.
