Yo Dawg…
Yo dawg, I herd u like my pictures, so I took a picture of me taking a picture so u can picture me taking your picture when looking at the picture.
Well, I was bored one day at work and was really amused by the Yo Dawg meme, so I had to make my own…without Xzibit’s face. But joke aside, what you see here is roughly my convention walk-around setup. It’s a very heavy setup, definitely not for the weak armed, but the setup will accomplish several things: throws shadow behind and below the subject; create softer light (diffuser not shown); quick change between portability and off camera flash. I am aware that some would opt for fast lenses and do without flash, but I’m trying to become a strobist, thus the setup is more of a learning experience than anything else.
Besides, I’ll get a good work out.
