Japanese garden water drop

This was taken during a trip to a Japanese garden in Oregon.

I have always liked Japanese gardens. While a lot of them are artificial in a way (no, plants don’t automatically organize themselves that neatly), they do so with a very earthly approach. The strong use of green foliage, gray / white rocks, and brown woods, is a perfect representation of nature’s color.

I really like the calmness and the tidiness this picture gives off, so much, that I printed and framed it.

This work was originally inspired by “Terrorize this“. I thought the combination of a pair of goggles, a respirator, and a hoodie was great, so I had to try it out myself. While the respirator I used was a cheap 3M respirator (~$20), it gave me the effect I wanted.

England from Hetalia.

After uploading this pic to the computer and viewing it for a while, I was in a dilemma: is this a good pic, or the glare ruined it? It’s pretty hard to judge, I think.

Personally, I like the composition. The model’s expression suits her action perfectly, you know, just sitting in the park, sewing away.

But then the glare comes in. In a way, it adds that little sunshine feel to the picture, but at the same time it kind of stands out.

What do you think?
